Get2gether Neighborhood Challenge

In July 2014, the Montreal Urban Ecology Center launched a call for proposals to anyone who had a sensational idea to transform their neighborhood. These dreams will soon become reality thanks to Get2gether Neighborhood Challenge!

The Montreal Urban Ecology Center, in partnership with the Center for a New American Dream and One Earth is proud to anounce the selected projects of the Get2gether Neighborhood Challenge. The MUEC, in association with ioby will help the finalists to raise money for their projects and match up to $2,000 in donations made to the fundraiser campaign. Stay tuned for more updates as these exciting projects move forward!

Collective transformation of a semi-industrial space into a place where urban agriculture, aquaponics, mushroom cultivation, artwork and eco-passive constructions made from recycled materials are combined within the same area.

Project Green Bloc is a neighbourhood-driven initiative to discover and test new tools to mobilize blocks of city residents into “blocs” of informed citizens addressing climate change, with a concrete goal of of reducing their ecological footprint by 25% over 3 years through individual and collective action.
